So I'm going to try it, it's hard to try, after realizing the first photo I took without knowing how to use something, I realized I wanted it, so I'm going to do what I want, I'm going to try it and I'm going to enter this new world.

Well since a while ago but I didn't know that when I first took a picture of the moon I didn't know that he didn't even use a flash and I didn't know how important it was and when I realized that I said if that's how it is I want to try and if that's how it is I'm going to go and well now I know how to take the picture how the ISO works and the speed of the shutter and it was well into that year that I realized it and it was a few weeks before he died or it was weeks after that I realized I saw what he was doing and I realized I want to try not photography but astrophotography and something beyond my imagination and he made me want to do something just one step and I wouldn't mind selling a childhood dream to get something better.

Wow, just watched your presentation, which is nothing short of brilliant, and I don't use that term often. Beautifully done, with the use of pictures and graphs. I have never been in the southern hemisphere, and that portion of the presentation was a comination of stunning and disorienting. I appreciate your emphasis on the Milky Way not being a "seasonal" phenomenon. In the northern latitude (35 to 45 degrees latitude), the Milky Way is quite visible cutting through the winter skies. Just a terrific tutorial, one of the very best I have ever seen on UA-cam for anyi topic. I've been a star watcher since the early 1960s, and only starting to take pictures using a mirrorless camera system (though I took a pretty good 30 minute +tracked picture of Haley's comet using film and a Celestron telescope back in March of 1986 which was published by the Taos News). Thank you so much, and I will be subscribing to your channel.

Hope this isn't a dumb question, but why can't you take a series of shots as you move the focus ring counter clock in small increments? Wouldn't software simply merge the focused parts?

I'm new to photography, I have a Z8 and 105mm MC. Now I want to get a prime in 16mm to 24mm range, for astro and landscape. I liked Nikon Z 20mm 1.8 and 24mm 1.8 but they are very expensive. Is there a cheaper solution like TTArtisan or similar (I don't need AF), or should I go for the Nikon's? (Does the extra price of Nikon justify the quality?). Please advise. Thanks

I think you should stuck pictures(only stars) in "Sequator." It is for free. However, you have to take some photos during the trucking.

For those still around... The filter issues mentioned with the full spectrum mod, is that when using regular lenses or also when mounted to a telescope? Full spectrum sounds like the best around option, as you can play with filters to get what you want. Would probably cost a bit more since you're buying several filters too.

Can anyone help me in achieving an HDR edit of the moon in Gimp? I tried this method here and several others that don't seem to want to work. Any Gimpers out there willing to share their workflow?
